Credit Repair and Monitoring

Carter Industries has partnered with SmartCredit, our credit repair and monitoring partner, to help you review your credit reports, dispute inaccurate items, and track your credit over time.

Accurate Reports. Clear Next Steps.

Errors, outdated accounts, and unverifiable items can hold your credit score down and make borrowing more expensive. Credit repair is the process of reviewing your reports and disputing information that is inaccurate, outdated, or cannot be verified.

Credit repair and monitoring services are provided by our partner SmartCredit, a separate company. You enroll through SmartCredit, and your agreement for those services is with them. Carter Industries does not prepare or submit credit disputes itself.

No one can remove accurate information from your reports or promise a specific result or score. A cleaner, more accurate credit profile can help when you are ready to apply for financing, and that is where Carter Industries can help next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who provides the credit repair service?

SmartCredit, our partner, provides the credit repair and monitoring services. Carter Industries refers clients to SmartCredit and does not prepare or submit credit disputes itself.

Can accurate negative items be removed?

No. Accurate and timely negative information generally cannot be removed. Disputes are for items that are inaccurate, outdated, or that the reporting company cannot verify.

Can you guarantee my score will go up?

No. No one can legally promise a specific result. Outcomes depend on what is on your reports and how the bureaus and creditors respond to disputes.

How long does it take?

Timelines vary. Credit bureaus generally have about 30 days to investigate a dispute, and the full process often takes several months across more than one round.

Can I dispute items on my own?

Yes. You have the right to dispute items directly with the credit bureaus at no charge. SmartCredit's tools are there if you want help doing it.

Will this help me qualify for a business loan?

More accurate credit reports can help, but approval is always the lender's decision. If business funding is your goal, see our Business Loans service.
